Been renting with the letting people in Burgess hill for about 3 and a half years now, not had any issues, if there are any problems with the property then they are addressed quickly, everyone I’ve spoken to there are very approachable and helpful.

Overall we had a good experience with Mansell McTaggert, renting a flat in Haywards Heath. However, the end of our tenancy was soured by receiving a cleaning fee. Helena Barber cited the following: – Hallway – Small bit of dust on the skirting – Main bathroom – taps are watermarked, plug is unattached and toilet flush appears not to be working – Ensuite – Shower screen watermarked in places, taps water marked, toilet discoloured, sealant heavily discoloured. Dust and watermarks do not justify extra cleaning. Especially after the property was left vacant for two weeks. Mansell McTaggart acted as an middle man between the landlord so I was unsure who was driving the extra cleaning to try extract more cash out of us. Either way a property management company with so much experience and presence in the area should know better than to engage such predatory behaviour. It was only after I mentioned contacting the Tenancy Deposit Scheme that Helena backed down. I am assuming they expect the average tenant to accept these charges.
