We’ve contacted Mansell McTaggart as one of three estate agents recommended to us to sell our house. From the first interview to the last day of the process, there was not one fault we could name. What won us over and made us agree to sign with Mansell was when Jamie (I will go there in a second) was asked what was his opinion about everything and he said: “you’ve got to go with what feels right to you”. So we’ve signed. From documents, to explanations, to views organisation and feedback, Jamie and his team were always very focused, flexible and the nicest with and to us. Even when negotiating the final value of the sale, we felt like the team was always rooting and trying to get the most out of it for us sellers. It was never needed to call them for updates as they were always given to us in a very timely order. We could not recommend Mansel McTaggert more. Even with some complications with our solicitors, they were always very pleasant to us. Thank you very much Jamie for making this process easier for us.

Avoid this agency for Offer setups. I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Mansell McTaggart Crawley. Despite being told offers would be accepted until “10ish,” I submitted a well-prepared, chain-free offer of £295,000 at 9:58 AM — above the stated max offer range of £280k–£290k they had. I confirmed receipt over the phone, and was assured all offers are going to be passed to the seller and no further offer will be taken, past the deadline time. Three hours later, I was informed the property had been sold to another buyer with a “higher offer.” No transparency, no opportunity to respond, and no follow-up despite my request to increase my offer. The process felt orchestrated, lacking fairness and professionalism — as if the outcome had been prearranged. While individuals like Bobby, Sam, and Ben were courteous and helpful, the overall handling of this sale reflects poorly on the agency’s integrity. As an active buyer in Crawley, I will avoid any future dealings with this branch and cannot recommend them to others. If offers are not genuinely considered, and deadlines are not respected, then asking buyers to submit “best and final” bids is misleading and disingenuous. **REPLY To Mansell McTaggart’s Response on Google Review** : Your public response repeats the same unsubstantiated denials as your private Stage 1 reply and does not address the factual contradiction I experienced between what your Crawley staff told viewers and what you now state. I maintain a serious and legitimate concern that my 09:58 offer on 24 October — a clear, chain‑free offer that your agent confirmed as received — was not handled in accordance with the “best and final by 10:00” process you advertised to viewers. Provide, within seven calendar days, the authenticated, timestamped records proving when my offer and the other six formal offers were logged and when the seller’s instruction to accept the purported higher offer was received. If you will not or cannot supply those records, confirm now who will conduct an independent internal review and provide me the reviewer’s written findings and the supporting records. If you fail to do either I will obtain the Title Register, notify the vendor/lender, and escalate the matter to The Property Ombudsman and Trading Standards. I will update my review to reflect your full response and the outcome of any independent review or regulatory investigation.

We ultimately used their recommended services because we wanted the property, which we completed. Thankfully, the solicitor was excellent, but our dealings with Mansell were disappointing. Sam appeared primarily concerned with securing the highest possible fees rather than assisting us. However, on the rare occasions we interacted with Ben, he was friendly and professional.
